Man of her Dreams!!

I was getting married that day. No, I was not excited. Trust me a Girl is excited only by the thought of getting married, on her marriage day she is just terrified. Okay, agreed!! I was terrified unlike other girls.
Must agree, best thing about Indian culture is exquisiteness. My marriage was not just an occasion for my family members, for them it was that larger than life celebration they were longing for almost 24 years. I was happy seeing the satisfaction on their faces. And why I shouldn’t be? If my parents can dream of a happy marriage for me, I have also dreamt of them being more happy than me on my wedding day. And they were!!

Everyone who came inside my room had two emotions, First being ‘Amazed’, With smile on their face “ she grown out to be so beautiful, She grew up so fast!!” and the second being the “Heart break-skip a beat emotion” with tears in their eyes. “ she grown out to be so beautiful, She grew up so fast!!”

Well, Credit for my look must have gone to my beautician. She managed to make me look like the best bride on this earth that day. Exactly the way I had thought. Heavy embellished lehenga with embroidered silk and gold work. Jwellery stood equal in competition. Fingerlet, kundan neckpiece, gold nath etc. and all the important jewels elegantly loaded on me. I had my first look after I was done with my eye makeup. For me out of entire attire, this was the best jewel. Dreams filled in with elegance in those pretty eyes made me fall for myself. Those eyes also had many secrets hidden which made it look even more beautiful and more mature.
I was busy touching up everytime I found anything was going light, and then suddenly I received a message!! It was from him.

Yes, bride’s best passtime after she gets ready is going through the messages and feeling right there, that this is a last message as a Miss before becoming ‘Mrs’.I know its lame, but it is!!
Okay, so it’s him. 'I want to meet you. Right now!!.'
I asked him to come inside where I was getting ready, if it is possible. Well that was the only option he had.

He knocked the door, I asked everyone to give me a moment and they all left. I don’t know how he managed to come inside in such hustle bustle. Did anyone ask him, why he wants to meet me now? Or didn’t anyone stop him while yelling,"You are not allowed! Why are you going inside??" Etc etc…
While all these questions were taking over my mind I also had this weird kind of anxiety!! And that awkward feeling!! Looking at myself in the mirror and wondering if….and there he was…

He was left stunned!! Ofcourse! I looked that beautiful. He couldn’t take his eyes off me and he kept on starring while he moved ahead. I couldn’t bear the sight and I lowered my eyes. With a mixed feeling and my heart beating faster than ever before, I somehow gathered courage and tried to look up into his eyes trying to decode what he wanted to tell, what was so important he needed to tell me right before the marriage?
Sound of his footsteps coming close to me gave me goosebumps. I again looked down and pretended to be calm.
Suddenly, everytime spent together , every chat we had, everything we shared over the call, every little thing we cared for started flashing in front of my eyes. He stood in front of me, lifted up my face, his hand below my chin.
I couldn’t stop rolling out all my secrets. And him, witnessing them. There was  a moment of silence.
He leaned forward and with soft spoken voice in my ears I heard him saying,“ Today I woke up and realised that you were perfect!!! That Guy is lucky to know that already. You have got your man.” The hammering of his words so hard in my ears that he could have sensed it in my silent tears.

He had no further words to say but I could see it in his eyes, he had lot many things to say.

A knock on the door signified I had to leave for the ceremony. And I bid him a good bye which I never wanted to.

M S Dhoni- Leader like no other

As rightly said ‘Genius is one who knows when to stop.’
In 9 years of captaincy Mahendra Singh Dhoni has emerged as one of India’s most successful captain this cricket crazy country has seen.
BCCI chairman of selectors MSK Prasad today Praised the outgoing captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni at a press after announcing Indian ODI and T-20 International teams of the Series against England with Virat Kohli being made captain with return of Yuvraj Singh in the team. He Said ‘We know what Mahi is all about, he is a captain by nature, a leader from the front’. Virat who is all set to take over the captaincy across all formats paid Glowing tribute to his predecessor M S Dhoni for being an inspirational leader and terming him ‘ Captain forever’.

‘Captain cool’ as he is fondly called, has guided the team to numerous Victory including ICC world cup Twenty-20 in year 2007, CB series of 2007-2008, The Asia Cup in the year 2010, 2011 ICC cricket World Cup, 2013 ICC Champions Trophy along with many more in the line since his captaincy. The recipient of the India’s fourth highest civilian honour Padma Shri and still a Modest and Humble captain is a combination rarely seen.
Virat is doing an excellent job in test matches but the pressure of ODI captaincy is different. Sources say that MS Dhoni be around while Virat takes his first few steps as the limited-over captain.

Dhoni’s  decision though not surprising has left many fans in the country and around the world extremely emotional.
Ever since the announcement of his stepping down as the captain, Social media is flooded with people wishing Dhoni the best. India’s Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar applauded Dhoni saying ‘It’s a day to celebrate his successful career and respect his decision’ and hailed him as a steady and a decisive leader.
Some of the best tweets from around the world and country clearly display MS Dhoni is Leader in a team and Ruler of hearts. The coolest and modest Captain buzzing and trending once again in the social media. Some of the mastertweets are as under:
  1.  #DhoniFan :Between ‘who is this new player with long hair’ to #thankyoudhoni we grew up.
  2.  #DhoniFan :You don’t learn Leadership quality in Institution. A two year dropout in a school and still a best leader.
  3. @bhogleharsha :Many memories, many emotions. But typical of a man who never hogged the limelight; even as captain of a worldcup winning team.
  4. @itsSSR (Sushant Singh Rajput): There is no one like you. You are the reason for millions of smiles. Take a bow my captain.
  5. @saakshiSRawat (Sakshi Singh): there are no mountains high enough to stop you from climbing. Proud of you!!.
  6.  @imVkohli: Thanks for always being the leader a youngster wants to have around him. You will always be my captain.
In an action packed captaincy of 9 years, Dhoni has seen many ups and downs and has also succeeded in all three formats of the game including IPL. As he slowly but surely walks into the sunset, Mahi is making sure that unlike the first part of his career , his later steps are well- rehearsed and well-timed.
Previous day has to end for a new dawn to break the silence. Virat Kohli Era Begins-Named Captain of England series and henceforth. All Eyes on the ODI against England to be played in Pune on 15 January 2017.
