INSV TARINI- an empowerment of women in Indian Armed Forces

While Special group of people in India are busy Shaming other's body figure, dressing sense and an interview given with an open heart, there is this one Purest and beautiful act in the empowerment of women shaming all the taboos relating to their incapabilities.

No, India is moving out of an era where works for women were prescribed and limited, but not yet moved out of some sensitive issues where society expects women to back off.

In India, Girls going out at night, partying with friends, Traveling solo would be considered as 'Characterless'. These things are not meant for girls, this is what our society thinks and they are not wrong as well (to certain extent). Issue is not being time, place or job specific, issue is being Gender specific, no matter what the job is.

Feminism is about an 'Action to be taken' and not about a 'Reaction to be given'. So in a move signalling the new era of women empowerment, Newly appointed  Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharam Flagged off an all-Women Navy team in Panaji attempting to Circumnavigate the Globe.

For the first time ever, an all-Women crew 'Navika Sagar Parikrama' of Indian Navy will embark on a global journey on an Indian sailing vessel INSV Tarini.

This is for girls who stay up all night,
for those who are willing to fight,
for hidden fears, hurt, pain &  tears,
under the smiles, laughs and giggles we hear
you throw, you pick up and fall,
Just tell the world, I'm Beautiful,
Because i am a girl!
